The historical mill at the edge of Potsdams Sanssouci Park existed before restoration of the summer residence began. Today it serves as an exhibition centre and cultural history museum.

You can try to mill wheat and make flour yourself using the old Roman hand mill. Filter the flour like it was done in the old days and get a idea of what the work was like then. From the gallery of the building there is a wonderful view of the park and castle right out to the New Palace.

The Mill Museum is a nice place to visit since it offers educational tours for young ones. I brought my kids here and they love seeing the old and new mills. The museum is well kept and clean. nofollow
