Potsdam is very well known for it's film making. The Film Museum that is situated in baroque stables pays tribute to this.
The continuous exhibition introduces you to the history of Babelsberg movies and the DEFA film studio. There are frequently varied exhibitions about famous German and international movie stars. The inhouse theatre plays films to honour great actors and actresses such as Götz George, Heinz Rühmann, Marlene Dietrich or Charly Chaplin.
