The City and State Library is the biggest library in Brandenburg and is a place of knowledge and research. Even if you don't possess a library pass you can still take a look round.
Alongside extensive reference holdings to all imaginable subjects, the libraray also has an exhibition about the poet Gottfried Benn who's works have been interestingly documented here.
